How to use
Prep first: Wash and dry. Decontaminate if needed (iron remover/clay). Work on cool paint in shade. Mask textured plastics and vinyl striping edges.
Method A — Dual-Action (DA) Polisher (fastest, most consistent)
-
Prime pad: 3–4 pea-size drops.
-
Spread on low speed across a 2’×2’ area.
-
Polish: Speed 4–5, moderate pressure; work cross-hatch (up-down, left-right) for 4–6 slow passes.
-
Inspect & wipe: Lift pad, wipe residue with a clean microfiber.
-
Refine (optional): Switch to a softer foam pad and 1–2 drops for a gloss pass.
-
Protect: Apply Touchless Wax or Quick Detailer + Sealant.
Method B — By Hand (spot fixes / small areas)
-
Apply a nickel-size amount to a polishing applicator.
-
Work a 1’×1’ area with firm, even pressure in straight or overlapping circular motions for 45–60 sec.
-
Wipe clean; repeat if needed.
-
Top with your preferred protection.
Operator tips
-
Clean pads often; swap when saturated.
-
Use light pressure near panel edges and body lines.
-
For deeper defects that catch a fingernail, polishing won’t remove them—refer to refinishing.
Pro tips (fleet/apparatus)
-
Tackle high-visibility panels (cab doors, hood, fenders) first for maximum appearance gain.
-
After polishing, add Rookie’s B.F.F. for fast, uniform hydrophobics across the fleet.
-
Maintain with Quick Detailer + Sealant between washes to slow the return of wash marring.
Safety & storage
-
Avoid matte/satin finishes and raw plastics—polish can stain or add unwanted gloss.
-
Do not polish hot panels or in direct sun.
-
External automotive use only. Keep away from children.
-
Store sealed, upright; protect from freezing/extreme heat.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will this remove scratches completely? It removes or reduces swirls, haze, and light scratches in the clear coat. If a scratch catches a fingernail, it’s likely too deep for a polish.
Can I use it on vehicles with ceramic coating? You can lightly polish coated paint to remove minor defects, but polishing may reduce coating thickness/performance. Reapply protection afterward.
Safe around decals and reflective striping? Avoid polishing over decal film and along edges; mask edges to prevent lifting or staining.
Does it fill defects or actually correct them? It uses abrasive correction to level the clear coat. You can perform an IPA/panel wipe to confirm true results before sealing.
Headlights or chrome? Use only on painted clear coat. For polycarbonate lenses or bare metals, use dedicated products.
